E*Trade is now taking orders for EBAY.

And I signed up. I doubt it will do a GCTY dance but hopefully it won't turn out to be a broken IPO either.

Maybe I can short ONSL as a hedge. ONSL is already pretty down (for a *.com stock) though.

ONSL must be getting scatter-brained. They might as well name a sister site called OnSaleHead.com for flat pricing. How on earth could analysts be comfortable with ONSL if they keep switching their business plan back and forth? eBay has obviously already won and the IPO isn't even out yet.

Anybody been watching the growing number of sellers on eBay that are joining "club99". Do a search at eBay for "club99" and you will see that 1 out of every 400 items sold on eBay is now done by a club99 seller and it is growing little by little.

eBay tip for the week:

Always when searching for ink cartridges or toner, check the "search descriptions" box. If you find your cartridge under MISC/BUSINESS topic, there will be fewer bidders and you will get a better deal than if it is advertised under COMPUTERS/HARDWARE/General or Printers.
The same holds true for glossy paper and Avery labels. A lot of times under the business category you can safely make the minimum bid days in advance on these above items and you can forget about monitoring the auction as closes as you would if it was under the computer section.

Happy bidding
Scott
