>> I did notice that the September report from Relevant Knowledge about August web
traffic at Amazon.com was disappointing. 4.9 million visits,
down from 5.6M in July, I think.
<<
To all concerned, regarding Amazon "hits" :
Here is the actual data I just pulled off the Relevant Knowledge site:

Rank Persons 12+ "reach"
July 14 5,792,000 10.9%
August 17 4,942,000 not given

that is a 14.7% drop in actual traffic on the Amazon site, by persons 12 and over in those months,
according to RK, which is the standard at the moment, I believe. If there is a more authoritative
source out there now, please inform us all. They do say that all numbers are estimates,
subject to limitations of survey technology, etc. - a standard boilerplate CYA disclaimer.
This could be simply a reflection of people going to the beach instead of reading a book,
but it sure is a large percentage drop.
Rgds.
