Dorine,

I agree with you that this matter should be put to rest quickly for the good of the nation. However, this is not likely to happen given the acrimonious partisanship in the house and the 18 boxes of material that the Republicans are determined to release in an attempt to influence the November elections. This has been one of the worst congresses that we have ever had.

The impeachment of Nixon was a cake walk compared with what is happening now. I expect that the we will see the dirtiest congressional campaign in a century. The Republicans will be squealing like stuck pigs as more and more of their own sexual escapades come to light.

If the Republicans succeed in impeaching Clinton, their next target is Gore. Newt epitomizes the mean spirited and self serving partisan character of this congress. They fiddle while world is burning.
There will eventually be a huge backlash against these self serving
hypocrites but only after enormous damage has been done.
