Moonray, I have no clue. I believe their emphasis has been on continuing their consolidation and cost-cutting. I expect a good report on switch sales, NICS, and increased sell through of modems. I don't know about international sales or currency translation effects, and I'm concerned about systems sales, mostly due to the lack of any fanfare form the PR department. Maybe they're just holding their cards close.

Mr. Moonray,

>> How much do you think the world situation has hurt COMS expected
earnings this quarter?

My finger is getting itchy to buy a few shares.<<

After looking at Dave's response and rereading your question,
it looks like I didn't answer your question.

When I answered it, I was thinking of how the present world
situation was affecting the stock price, and
how it was affecting the expectation of the earnings
figure.

Anyways, my guestimate on COMS earnings figure is that
the world problems are now starting to get behind us so their
affect is becoming less important. I think
that Europe and S.America growth is accelerating and it
will offset the lost sales to E.Asia. But, it doesn't matter
that much for COMS at the moment because the earnings figure is still very low and is mostly influenced by the product transition and
adjusting to the merger. These last two things have the most
impact on COMS earnings.

But, I'm guessing that Europe and
S.America will be seen to be coming on stronger
than expected and will
possibly give confidence to the tech sector in general that
earnings aren't as terrible as feared. (JMO based on things
I've read)

Does this answer your question better?
(Shoot me down if you think I'm wrong :-) )
