Matt,
I think you are right. IMO coms will break through to 34 on Wednesday. Let us hope for the best. I am not sure where we are on the buyout rumor. I hope that is not what took the stock price from 25 to where we are. If it did we will see 25 before we see 35. Good luck.

Matt,

>>depending on sales, gross and operating margin growth rates
reported<<

Last earnings, I remember these were scrutinized. There was a lot
of confidence that margins would most definitely improve. This
was the consensus of the analysts.

I gathered that operations were so off-base last January, that
it was obvious they improved last earnings, and still could
easily further improve efficiency this quarter...like I said,
mainly because they were terribly inefficient in jan/feb, not to
mention last 4 months of '97.

Looks like COMS tape action is picking up. S.America looking
steady....banks are looking so-so. Japan banking situation
may be getting a lift Monday and Tuesday.

Also, a big plus is that the House rejected showing the
Clinton video. I take that as support for Clinton. Looks
more like he'll just stay in office and get a severe wrist
slapping.
