"It's also possible that since Nokia is still up by 100% this year and Qualcomm is down it's easier for Qualcomm to bounce"

Yup, this is definitly a signif possibility.

Sales are important, it's not just about pe's,it depends on the stage a business is at.In the case of Lucent, yr over yr and quarter to quarter, there isn't much sales grwth, so all these fab earnings gains are coming from internal improvements, book keeping, whatever.
Nokia has had both top and bottom line grwth. QCOM has had spectacular top line grwth but has reinvested almost all of it and bungled the rest.Sales are also much more difficult to fudge than earnings.

Waiting list for Nokia phones, little demand for Ericsson.
As a new investor in telecom stocks, I do simple research when shopping by asking marketers of cellular services which of their phones are selling the best. I was surprised this Thursday to see a waiting list for the Nokia 6160 (I recall) that was several pages long. In fact, the vendor was calling customers on the list and giving them ONLY TWO HOURS to pickup a new Nokia. I asked about Ericsson models and was told that there was little demand, which disappointed me because I've inherited several hundred shares of Ericsson.
I thought this anecdote would delight you Tero. I enjoy your avid support of Nokia.
