Absolutely agree. Occasionally like to kid total TA types, but all major Brokerages have
Technical Analysts.


Jmt, Not to start a flame war, but I regard FA to be guesswork. Mainly based on P/E, revenue growth, earnings estimates, EBITDA, whisper numbers etc.. etc..
That's why Wall St FA analysts (a.k.a. lemmings) always rush to downgrade a stock *after* it has pre-announced.
With FA you would have missed powerful stocks like AMZN, YHOO, CMGI etc... even though you cant 'value' them.
With TA you miss disasters like REXI, LBOR, BOST etc..
If you rely on FA, you will get crushed by money mgrs 'cos they have better access to companies.
TA levels the playing field. We all have access to charts, and the chart does not lie; irrespective of what the CEO/CFO tells you... :-))
