Ian, thanks for your reply. In my frustration, I probably went a little overboard with the prediction of 5. I bought ASYT for my IRA as well, so I am very high on the company. A few other things that make me uncomfortable that I should mention:

1.) Management
This was one of the big reasons I invested in the company in the first place. They seemed (and still seem) to be top notch. However, I am somewhat uncomfortable with they way they are trying to push this huge option package through. It looks to be more than a little dilutive too. I was hoping that the stock price was falling because the dilution was being factored in by the market, since there had been no earnings warning. Now they warn only a week before the quarter is over. Not a good confidence booster.

2.) Recovery in their business.
Many people who know a lot more than I are stating that the recovery is coming, and it will be big. I was taking this as gospel until recently. Now I am starting to wonder if it will come later rather than sooner, and how big it really will be.

Last, but definitely not least:
3.) I was getting concerned about my margin position and wanted to decrease it significantly.

Robbie

P.S. I wonder how much cash was burned in this quarter....

After allowing for the H purchase and after allowing for $1.00/sh erosion in cash in both the Sept and Dec qtrs, I arrive at $5.00 in Cash at Dec 31/98. I suspect that as calandar 1999 gets close, the psycholgy will shift towards "only 6 months to go" and the shares will start rallying significantly prior to Dec 31/98. So,my best guess is a low on ASYT in the 6.25- 6.75 area. Sure was a shocker this morning---I promptly sold my BRKS at the open at 8.93 on the idea of a similar revenue bloodbath, and took a marginal loss. ---I agree that depressed springs like ASYT should jump very fast at the first hint of bottoming in orders---even a faint aroma of a scent will do. Until then, I'll ride ASYT out and may add more
