Russell - the MMs do indeed read these threads. Many company representatives read the threads as well. I happen to also know that the SEC reads the SI threads in particular. They just hired extra manpower to monitor stock threads. Those that hype and/or plan stock manipulations are doing so under the eyes of the SEC. What may seem innocent and above board to the neophytes on these threads is not necessarily viewed the in the same way by the SEC. Let the poster beware... Cytotekk, I know of someone who was asked about a stack of SI posts during an SEC interview.
