If I may jump in here:

Well, one's sexual life is not just a personal matter, it is a private matter.

As to you and me, yes. As to military personnel -- and Clinton is Commander in Chief of the U.S. Armed forces -- it is very much an issue when it takes place out of wedlock. Just ask Lt. Flynn, among many others. Why should they be cashiered for conduct which their boss claims is entirely private?

I have to acknowledge that people are different and I cannot stand in judgement as to their personal behavior.

For your neighbors, yes. But Clinton represents you and me on the national and world stages. He says "my fellow Americans..." He speaks for us. He negotiates for us. He works for us--if you believe in the concept of government by the people, he is an employee of the people --you and me. The conduct of my employees in their workplace is, indeed, my responsibility to be aware of and hold them accountable for.

He put himself in these positions voluntarily. It's disingenuous for him now to say that we shouldn't hold him accountable.
