Brazil's Telerj to invest 1.6 bln reais by end '99 Reuters, Friday, September 18, 1998 at 15:04 RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Rio de Janeiro telecommunications company Telerj (SAO:TERJ3) still plans to invest some 1.6 billion reais by the end of 1999 despite recent financial market turbulence, the company's president said. "We are not going to make any reduction as a result of the economic crisis in world markets, we are going to invest 600 million this year and a little more than one billion next year," Telerj president Geraldo Pereira de Araujo told reporters Friday.
