Can someone clarify if there were comments made by a representative of NationsBank (I thought it was the President) about Dell and it's business plan. My understanding was he was VERY complimentary about Dell and their business model, etc. If someone already mentioned this I apologize..haven't had time to read all the posts.

Hi Freeus...how are you doing? Did you get back into Dell and/or Cisco?

Hope y'all have a great weekend.

T.R.

Well.... just to put in my .02 about Buffet + Fritos.... Fritos has recently purchased I2 software, the same supply chain mgmt software that Dell uses. So, they are obviously embarking on a JIT/SCM strategy as are lots of cpg vendors (consumer package goods).

Soon, the cpg industry will look more and more to automation to improve the bottom line, and ultimitely the foods industry will begin to look like the PC biz in terms of a business model. So, if he thinks he can avoid technology companies by buying Fritos hes a little mistaken.

PS people laughed at my grocery store example but I still believe foods are ripe for mfg and logistics automation....
