Analyst Thomas Kurlak expects "significant new
opportunities" for the communications-oriented chip
suppliers, as part of a broader trend in which he
sees the communications equipment industry
usurping the personal computer business "as the
key driver of semiconductor growth," according to
the report.

If Lucent or Mot jumps in RMBS bandwagon, I agree with you that there will be a large spike.

Still concerned though about the sluggy overseas markets.

memory modules. Rambus Inc. and SiliconTech will design, manufacture
and sell the modules. The units, offering 1.6 Gbytes per second and
supporting one-to-16 Direct RDRAMs, conform to the industry-standard
DIMM form factor and use standard PCB technologies.
