As a confirmed mac user(read this as "He is so ignorant he needs a very easy computer"), I find it hard to believe there is any reason for pc prices to increase in the near term future. The new macs are about a light year ahead of any dell type and the macs are dropping in price every month. Unless and until the pc industry can re-invent itself, i.e. come up with something far better for the same or cheaper price(like mac has) then what hope does it have?

I am just hoping MU can run back up to 36 before it turns south again. That is one heck of a trading machine. I wonder how much wealth has been sliced out of the economy by mu stock drops alone....

Thanks, Michael. No my father doesn't and didn't own HOT, but merely heard it touted the other day. He owns some Cohen & Steers and Fidelity Real Estate. He's a retiree, comfortable, and not worried about dying wealthy, so he's comfortable with a 33% equity portfolio, and even that is in conservative funds and a few blue chips.

I don't know enough REIT's to invest in them, but occasionally I like to take a plunge in companies that have unrealized real estate assets, and have done well with them (e.g., EdperBrascan, TrizecHahn) and have a little money in Longleaf Real Estate, which owns relatively few REITs.
