I thought he should have been impeached in '93, after Travelgate. Wouldn't trust the guy and his/her gang with one penny. As for the videotape, it is probably one of Clinton's rare public occasions not staged in Hollywood. So, let it run.

I think this matter will be resolved by the November elections. Since this matter has become a purely partisan affair, it will largely go down party lines. Thus one side or the other manages to increase their positions in the house or the Senate. After the election the democrats are likely to come together against the republicans. The Republicans do not have enough votes in the Senate to impeach. It will be messy and stupid. The Republicans risk a backlash vote against their candidates as a protest against the way this matter has been politically exploited. It is unfortunate that we have no men or women of stature in the Congress.
