These are good articles on DWDM and what is beyond. I recommend them to anyone interested in optical technologies and/or optical networking.

Pretty good coincidence you sent these to me now since I am beginning a DWDM implementation for a client right now. It truly is "the wave of the future" and it's only the beginning. The ability, starting as early as next year, to add/drop optical signals before converting to electrical will be huge.
