I agree, when the spread widens it's usually a tactic to scare away buyers.

I prefer the freerealtime interface (when it works)to thomson or quotecentral, and it is unlimited quotes, so I can just keep hitting reload. Problem is that they don't show enough decimals so sometime I am forced to go to Thomson.

Wall Street City is good for viewing the last 10 trades to give you an idea of the market attitude, but the quotes are generally garbage.
