Christopher - the "media" have almost rock-solid case law behind them that lets them farm the fertile field of gossip-mongering without risking anything. In fact, the publishing of such information is an after-the-fact circumstance; the "leaker" is the one that committed the crime - the recipient has only his or her future as a trusted confidant of the source to reckon with in deciding to disclose.

Quid pro quo is afoot.
