THE DOOFUS What disgust me of the Starr report isn't the adultery and lying but the fact that the President and Commander in Chief is such a lousy adulterer and liar. For this "man" to get caught red-handed in a fling easily manageable by anybody who can change a flat tire, raises questions about his basic competence. If the Starr report is "just in the ballpark", America's alpha male is something worse than a sinner and lawbreaker. He's a fool, and a crybaby to boot. Any "man" who'd schedule his quickies through his secretary, cuddle his cutie in front of TV cameras and tries to buy her loyalty with assorted knickknacks and a hatpin is more than a little short on basic street smarts. Kinky sex with a cigar is one thing, but conducting the nations' business over the phone and helping a youngster earn her "Presidental kneepads" at the same time indicates something's lacking. If you are going to play with the big boys , you learn damn quick: Don't screw-up. If you do, don't whine about it. If you're living like there is no God, you'd better be right and if you're living like there is no media, you'd better be clever - especially if you're running a country that cut its colonial teeth on burning witches and branding naughty women. But Billy wasn't clever. Hell, I don't think he was even awake. To keep his love toy under wraps he enlisted every friend, acquaintance and staff member other than the senior White House tour guide. He babbled away on answering machines and than expects other adults to buy his line about oral sex not really being sex. All he had to do was ask any wife that question. Though most men don't have special prosecuters analyzing the DNA of every lipstick stain they stumble home with, and most men don't have houses that a have press room, they do have far more stringent monitors: their wives and girlfriends. Did Hillary Rodham really think Billy was staying in the office late at night fine-tuning the defense budget? Having a con man at the helm is bad, but having a doofus at the helm is even worse. Even if Bill Clinton has learned his lesson and put things right with God, what is his excuse for his gross stupidity? This is "the man" who is supposed to outwit terrorist. His falsehoods and inappropriate gropings are hard to swallow, but total lack of animal cunning is an unaccecptable bummer. Bill Clinton does not own the presidency, we do, we've worked hard for it and so did our mothers and fathers before us. We deserve better than a doofus at the helm and it is our responsibility and duty to replace the doofus. This was emailed to me without the authors name attached...thanx to whomever wrote it.
