Doug, I don't understand your confusion. However, maybe this will help.

I have been buying Qcom since 1993. I have made numerous purchases over the years. I currently own every share that I ever purchased. I am not a trader. In most cases, I never sell. In a few cases, I have found it convenient to depart with securities. Most of these cases have been the odious result of the securities reaching the value of zero. At which time, I have either given them to someone else or turned them into wallpaper, whichever was most convenient. I try to only buy securities which will appreciate over the long term. At times, my timing stinks. In these cases, I become cautious and usually wait out the situation. I trust this clarifies your confusion.

A fool and his securities are hard to separate. nf

PS Please don't forget to start buying once it hits $38 US.
