Mark,

I am honestly shocked that you have never been approached until SI. I think you are an exception rather than the rule.

Let's have the thread field this one, of all the non-christians on this thread, how many of you have or have not been approached by a Christian about your faith?

Why it's important? Oh Mark, if you had the cure for cancer, would you keep it to yourself? Well Mark, this is much bigger. This is the answer to life and eternity. And any true Christian sect spreads the good news. If they don't I personally question their Christianity.

Now on an individual basis, their are definetly Christians, and for that matter people of other faiths, scared to or not confident in their witness. And you have to understand, its tough to go out and talk to people about it. Not everyone is like you! Some people will ripped you a new "you know what" if you approach them about faith. Believe me, it is not easy to do. I very often have confidence problems doing it. But it is a Christian obligation. And if you see any Christian sect, or church not fully behind evangelism, their is a problem with that group.

God told us it is our responsibility, as Christians, and for that matter as Jews, to spread the good news. If you don't, as a Christian, it's not going to effect your salvation. But if you would like to please God, you really should. If I am not mistaken, I think their is scripture that actually talk about rewards in heaven for doing it. Don't know them off the top of my head though. If you want them, I'll do some homework.

God Bless,
Steve
