I currently have a small SAP position (500 shares at various prices) and am looking to add when the time is right.

I'm praying SAP gets hammered over the next few quarters so I can accumulate more.

From what I can tell there are many heavy hitters out there waiting for an opportunity to load up. In my opinion, these guys would like nothing more than to scare the "little guys" out of this listing and drive the price as low as possible.

In fact, the largest private pension fund in the world (CREF) currently holds a relatively small SAP position.

Let me put this in perspective. CREF manages well over $100 billion in equities. Their PeopleSoft position is currently valued at roughly $84.5 million.

Based on marketshare data and future growth of the front/back office and supply-chain spaces, one might presume a large pension fund's their SAP position to be atleast 1.3 times their PSFT position ($109.8 mil.). In fact, CREF's current SAP position is roughly about $3.7 million. That's not even 10% of what they have in PeopleSoft right now.

These guys have truck loads of cash waiting for a home.

Now I'm just guessing, but either PSFT has officially been named the lord of the enterprise application jungle and SAP is "going down the tubes" or we can expect some heavy institutional accumulating of SAP shares over the coming quarters.

However, in the meantime, good luck with your short term trading. We can be sure of one thing, volatility.
