Your royal rudeness,

I don't disagree with your web tv or similar set top box design defense at all.

Just this morning I received from a relative a web tv email with, a crowing (big ugly red audio/video)rooster attachment, as a saturday morning greeting.

Its out there getting people conneceted.

RudeDog,

I'm telling you the marketing success of a major telco here who tried to sell the WEBTV technology. IT FLOPPED!!! They abandoned the technology. Too many people have PCs at home and a computer on the internet is FAR FAR more functional and useful than a TV.

With the cost of high power computers becoming afordable to almost any household, WebTV is a no-show. Sure you might sell WebTV to your 80 year old Aunt, but if there isnt critical mass of sales, the concept will flop!
