I am new to this board and a relatively new MO share holder. (about 2 months at 38)

What I say may have been mentioned on this board but my real reasons for buying MO were pretty simple.

Having no real legal expertise I just felt that many of the law suits, though having some merit, were basically just alot of gold diggers who knew that smoking was bad for them all along but continued to do so just because they didn't care. I think the courts started to smell this also.

Next I felt that it would be a good defensive play in a bear market.

Lastly, I felt that the technicals were great and even better now.

Best of luck to all

Interesting article in today's WSJ on page B10 about the Washington case. After reading the article, I came away with a much weaker impression, far weaker than I had previously thought, of the state's case. I'm liking my Dec calls more and more, and now looking to buy some of the Oct calls as well. Big MO is looking good.

choo-choo baby,
