Good Afternoon, Dan; Jesus said: "9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew Jesus preached the ultimate goal for us as Christians to follow. We must strive to become a person who can turn the other cheek and to set a true Christian example if we are to be effective. If others see your anger and warlike attitude toward sinners, will they have any part of you? I can truthfully say that they will spit you out of their mouth like a tainted drink. Does the Holy Spirit give you these words of anger and agression? Does not God have the power over all authority including the wiles of satan? Just because you do not see or hear me shouting to the high heavens for my voice to be heard over the din of the world does not mean that I do not have a purpose through the quite leading of the Holy Spirit. "10 "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.' 13 "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.' 14 "I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Luke 18 I wish you well Dan. God Reigns, Santiago
