xia qui If you liked the written lines.... wait until the video, coming Monday. Ours is a great nation, founded upon the principle that the citizen is superior to the state (in that regard we are the only nation in the history of mankind which has embraced that principle). We are a nation of individuals rather than a nation of subjects. Excepting the native Americans, we are, all of us, immigrants or the sons and daughters of immigrants, and this is what makes us strong... for all who have come to this country as immigrants, regardless of their origin, recognized the uniqueness of this country as a society. Unfortunately, we have at our head an individual who has abused the power and authority given to him by the people. Fortunately, for us, the founders of the nation made provision for us to correct the error. The course of these proceedings will be nasty, embarrassing, and fraught with danger..... but in the end, the society should be preserved. Personally I care not one whit about the fact that a person of authority has a sexual liaison with a young lady; such things do happen in all societies, and always have. To think that they do not happen in this society is naive. The important question is that of the rule of law and jurisprudence; when called upon to give testimony in a court of law it is expected and demanded that the truth shall be given. False testimony cannot be excused. In the end I feel this President must be forced into resignation or be impeached and removed from office. The alternative is to accept that we are not the society we purport to be... and that is a profound alternative which is not acceptable if we are to maintain our uniqueness as a society. ..... I do agree, on the humorous side, the man certainly does not have good taste in women. Regards, Dipsey
