I've got a very small position in Avon, and yes, it ain't been the best of investments. But, with the whole world getting more 'americanized', and MTV spreading image consciousness, I think Avon will do well with its stores and especially its "Avon ladies" - a great start to self employment for all those caught up in the uncertainties of working for others in the emerging markets?

Sonki. LU. You better get out of your retirement mode and sleep less. gg. LU is at 90 and not 75. It has been picking up 10 points in the last week. You can hardly call this slow.

Pfe. That Dutch man with that heart attack 30 min. after taking Viagra. Did they say anywhere if he had undertaken some activity already? You know that 65 year old men can die in bed while having sex, especially with strange younger women, even if they are not taking Viagra. You must have heard of the saying: He died happy? gg.
Like Pfe said: Mill. of men are taking the drug without problems.
How will this affect PFE? I think PFE would be a good company even without Viagra. Remember that I sent you that article about Hoechst and PFE working together on this diabetes inhaler? And there are other things in the pipeline.

Avon. Yes, I heard that it should be doing pretty well. There was this problem for a while in CHINA? about not being able to sell from door to door. I think that has been changed. And now AVON is opening up a store in NY? That should help.

Thanks for the links. EMC and UIS are still being touted.

TBR. I thought you bought TBR at 80. Low was something like 59? I bought at 75 and thought I was brave. gg.

It's pretty darn late for me. That's the reason you are getting all those question marks. Just in case my memory is not working right this late.

Have a nice Sunday and don't forget to answer that PM if you want an answer on that retirement stuff. gg.

Sonny

Sonki. Just read this about LU. Too bad.

Forgot to reply about Dell. Don't worry, you don't have to talk me out of Dell. I have been pretty steadfast since July 97. I only sold 1oo sh. earlier this year and regretted it.
