Stonehenge, OTOT I have a question. What do the following phrases have in common: Political Witch-hunt, Spanish Inquisition, Evil Repubs, Ken Star, Right Wing Conspiracy, institutional genocide, Sex Police, Extremists and Ronald Reagan. What do they have in common? The answer is they are all are meant to obfuscate the facts and free Clinton from blame. The facts are that Clinton was sued in federal court for sexual harassment. He was not in court as a witness but the accused. That is why this became a federal case and why it is about sex. Judge Star was brought evidence that Lewinski (a witness) and Clinton (the accused in the P. Jones case) had committed perjury in the Paula Jones case. Star reviewed it and sent it to J Reno, Reno reviewed the evidence and petitioned a court. The court found the evidence credible and authorized Reno to investigate. Reno sent it back to Star. See star's response:All Americans, including the President, are entitled to enjoy a private family life, free from public or governmental scrutiny. But the privacy concerns raised in this case are subject to limits, three of which we briefly set forth here. First. The first limit was imposed when the President was sued in federal court for alleged sexual harassment... Second. ...A federal judge specifically ordered the President, on more than one occasion, to provide the requested information about relationships with other women [employees], including Monica Lewinsky. Third. The third limit is unique to the President....the President has a manifest duty to ensure that his conduct at all times complies with the law of the land... The public has been very fair to Clinton. His wife is fair to a fault. The late night comedians derided Paula Jones. Clinton's attorneys called her claims tabloid trash and trailer trash (in reference to the fact Paula Jones lived in a trailer). Paula Jones didn't get her day in court and she never got the apology she sought. But you may have noticed, Clinton's attorneys no longer call her trailer trash and the late night comedians no longer make fun of her. BTW: Sorry for calling you a liberal. I was just being facetious. Some of my friends are liberal democrats. I consider myself to be Independent. Dale
