"A recordable device is the expensive part of this whole proposition," says David Andaleon, director of strategic content for C-Cube. "If a boutique tries to put together a system, they'll be doing fine until they get to the recorder. Then they'll need to invest more than $20,000. Until we manufacturers offer our second generation solutions, specialty post houses will have to farm job compression and recording work out to their larger peers."
