>>>Have you ever followed the TICK

Did you mean the TRIN?
I use quote.com ... and follow the indices ... for whichever stock I am watching.
I use the trin more often that the tick ... cause the tick often confuses me ... so I ignore it

The DOW is easier to follow ... it seems. Stocks follow the dow
the dow follows the trin. or ... they all work in unison

Watching all three, at the same time ... gives me my indicators.

When they change direction, that is a clue to the stocks (that I am following at the time) movement.

As I watched on Friday, volume was diddly ... everyone on early friday leave, maybe.?!

I saw no hard selling pressure .... just boredom.

so ....

when traders are not afraid of a dive ... (low volume) they might as well be buyers.

MONDAY, I am now expecting a carry through of the momentum, we saw near the close. Not a huge opening, but not down.

of course, the new indicator ... our asian and europian markets may upset this carrythrough.

the ebb and flow theory :o)

these are just my gut and 2 yr market experience talking

ps.... news comes abruptly ... IF

we hear news ... post it here ...
then
many of us can give opinion ... what we see.
what we expect.
past knowledge and so on

pss... I am of the opinion that the Clinton affair is now "old news".
he's been on CNBC so often ... he's becoming a regular like Joe Kernan.
