Personally, the difference that might exist between CD and Digital (which can be the same) won't matter much to me in the portable mode. The ambient noise usually diminishes quality to a large degree. In the home use arena, I will use my PC to download and transfer to my sound system. With a 12 gig HD, I don't anticipate much problem with storage. (10 meg is all we will ever need in our lifetimes...<gg>who was that guy??)Having said all that, NCII still has a chance to have a strongly competitive product. Flash mem will drop, no question, it's a law. Best, Savant
