To Mr. Pink, Boom Dog, and Barb.

As a newcomer to this message board, I expect some "ad hominem" flak.
I've gone back in time through these threads, read a few hundred posts at least (most are short, so it's not that hard) to get a feel for the board and to understand more of Mr. Pink's thrust. (I copied to paper some of Mr. Pink's quite heartfelt writs to communicate just where he's coming from) Maybe someday we'll know just what gets him out of bed in the morning! For now, it seems to be us! He likes what he's doing and he cares. Why, I don't know... Nevertheless, Mr. Pink is thoughtful, wise from experience, and well worth the read. Any chance he'll write a book? Maybe he has. Perhaps he could use some of our input for material. To be sure, Threads like his are like a good book in their own way.

Ciao for now,
Marty

Almost forgot...

While going back over things, I noted that Barb did her very good part in seeing over the inside trading of MRVC. Not a bad idea. Like paying attention to cash flow... etc. Mr. Pink gave warning when he said MRVC was overpriced at 25 (He might have said the same thing about half the market at the time). Later, Mr. Pink really dumped on MRVC for fraudulent accounting. I'm not sure. The word "fraud" is inscribed by the idea of intentionality. Is Mr. Edmund Glazer, CFO of MRVC, a "Mr. Fraud." Has Mr. Pink phoned Mr. Glazer and told him so? I called Mr. Glazer and he said he's not a fraud. Perhaps then, he's a liar. Perhaps not.... Mr. Pink's predictions are based on his damned good due diligence within the context of current market conditions and "the market's" own god damned mouth pieces', but unfortunately followed, agitation via shit like CNBC. Russia's economy is hurting! Really? Since when? Just now! It matters NOW? Let the Wall Street anal-ists take their findings over to the dept. of economics at George Mason University and see if they can attempt to connect what we see occurring in today's markets with the price of beets in Russia! The faculty there may view the pundits of today's market "facts" as fraudulent hypesters guilty a more than a little post hoc ergo propter hoc. (one does not need a "conspiracy theory to see that the market's movements are quite probably contrived and manipulated and that there are a thousand mechanisms for doing it.)

Oh well, what the hell. I'll confess. I bought into MRVC some time ago. Played it for some gain. A few months ago, when it dropped its butt to 17, I bought in again. RatS! Now, all the money I absconded (no one playing the market MAKES money "THE OLD FASHIONED WAY" and "EARNS IT" as Frauds like SMITH AND BARNEY say) is lost in my own little world of tragic comedy. I did note, or was it an illusion, that Mr. Pink said MRVC would go as low as maybe 3. Hasn't happened yet. If it does I'll buy back in and average out my losses. I certainly won't fault him for anything if it doesn't go to 3; as I don't necessarily credit him for "knowing" for sure that MRVC would rest at these current levels. Mr. Pink sees things going down, then weighs the "gravity" of their situation along with how many others are paying attention. Then he makes his predictions.. I'm indulging in simplism..

My nephew, Decon, just got back from Alaska after making some money the old fashioned way - the boy actually earned it. He was, of course, Salmon fishing. He brought back a few Silvers for me. I must go and accept them.

Salaam.
Marty

Boom Dog, perhaps I have become too thin skinned in recent weeks. It does get under my skin when folks like z man come here and spout fantasies about failure to receive notices, and do anything to avoid taking responsibility for their losing picks.

As far as posting guidelines, this is Mr. Pink's folder, and I'll defer to his guidelines. I do believe that this folder is not primarily intended as a short selling folder. But the recent market has dictated that the best position trades to be short sells.
