If I am doing the conversion right I can buy SIDBY ADRs for about 47 cents while if I buy them on the KLSE I pay the artificial equivalent of 65.25 cents. Interesting what monetary policies do for you. If I understand the rules correctly, if you buy the ADR you cannot sell for one year or you cannot collect the proceeds of a sale for one year, I am confused on this point but believe it is the latter. If I were a Malaysian I can buy and sell at will on the KLSE accept that short sales are banned.
