Co-location is where the manufacturer gives space in their facility for a third party to do BTO. It's kind of outsourcing the BTO MFG process. I'm not sure of the economics. It's probably more efficient than any of the channel BTO options I have heard about, but you can bet it's less efficient than a single BTO operation like Dell's.
