When I am born, according to the Islamic faith, I am destined for heaven. We are all born Muslims. It is our parents (or guardians) that may give us another religion. But at birth, one is a Muslim (i.e. one who surrenders to God). Therefore, we are all born "destined" for Heaven. We all have that opportunity. Muslims believe that children that die at birth or shortly thereafter will be in Paradise. They cannot be charged with something they did not do.. Now I live, I follow or choose not to follow the Islamic plan. Is that what decides if I go to heaven or not? After you hit puberty, or around that, you will probably have decided what religion to be....and that religion is most likely coming from whatever religion your parents are. That is totally wrong. When a person becomes Muslim, we say that that person has "reverted" to Islam. Notice we don't say "converted." Reverted means that they have returned to what religion they were born with. If you choose to turn away from God, then you will be destined for hell (unless you changed your thinking). The believers shall enter Heaven, the ones that believed in God and believed in the Prophet he sent to all of mankind. What happens if no one tells me about the plan and I don't execute it? You may remember the quote from the Qur'an which makes the distinction between those who do not "know" and those who do know. They will not be treated the same. God will judge them differently. However, in this current world, very very few people (if any) have never heard about Islam or had the resources to investigate the religion. On the Last Day, you can't tell God you didn't know about Him simply because you never felt it necessary to investigate the truth. Peace be unto you, Norris
