Michael, it is so nice to plug in here and see that you agree with one of my posts, for a change. Usually it is not like that, but I am happy when it happens.

Arianna Huffington has an interesting web site, which is interactive. Here it is:

resignation.com

You can add your name to the growing list of private citizens who want the president to resign, or review the additions to the politicians' list. Several congressmen, etc. have signed on today, for example, if I recall correctly. There is also the full list of publications whose editors are urging resignation, some conservative and some very liberal. Hey, Michael, the Seattle Times is on the list! Now take back those nasty things you said about how liberal they are!!

There are also three contests in which you can participate. You can write a nice, decent and dignified speech for the president to use at his resignation, write one like you imagine he would write for himself, or predict the date of his demise. There are prizes, I think. It is hard to tell when Arianna is joking, sometimes!

"Tears in Heaven" is a very sad song. The child's mother was actually home at the time it happened, and his father, musician Eric Clapton, who wrote the song, was not far away, if I recall correctly. One of the things that Clapton felt is that he would not be with his son in death, if I am understanding the lyrics correctly, since he doesn't feel he is going to heaven.
