Insider to me is: 1. Any person that has knowledge not generally known to all investors and use such info. to their advantage. I need clarification here. If I am interested in a stock and read all the press releases and analysts reports and SEC filings andthen still am not sure so take the initiative to call the company and ask some very specific questions, and get some very specific answers, I now have information not generally known to all investors. If I then use that information to help me decide to buy the stock, am I an insider?
