Grows in Brazil




RIO DE JANEIRO (Sept. 19) XINHUA - Sales of personal computers
increased by 5.9
percent in Brazil in April-June, compared with the first quarter of this
year, the Brazilian
newspaper Jornal Do Comercio reported Saturday.

The sales of the personal computers amounted to 275,000 units during
the second quarter of this
year, 8,000 units more than that in the first three months, the paper
said.

The sales of Compaq products remain in the lead, with 17 percent,
followed by IBM, with 9.9
percent, and Acer, the third one, in the Brazilian market. Enditem

John,

I don't think anything I have said indicated that your view is contrary to mine. I agree with you fully. Also, as an FYI - IBM already does outsource full production of some PC models they sell.
