Although there is no returning Savior in human form, this man speaks much wisdom and has been enlightened in some way. Truths are true regardless of source. That's fact that is obscured by the word of God, bible bit.

Christine, I didn't say that Maitreya was dead, just that a messiah-cult involving a figure known as Maitreya was in vogue in the 20s. Which means we either have a new messiah with an old name, or he didn't die and has been around all along. There are some similarities in the rhetoric used to present both. If the material in Del's post is authentic - and I do recall seeing much the same verbiage on his site - it would be hard for me to look at this character as anything but a bad joke. What we need is someone to save us from the saviours. Steve

Hi Christine, Why would me seeing a picture of Maitreya change my opinion of him? He is still a charlatan, just like the pope and other spiritual "leaders". Being ecumenical doesn't impress me one bit. All religion is based on mythology and doesn't deserve respect, and won't be getting it from me. This man, like the others, is not interested in finding and dispersing truth, but wants to manipulate people for his own aggrandizement. His staged appearances, supposedly out of thin air, are a joke. I am amazed that you don't despise him as well. Why can you see through the other religious manipulators, and not this one? Del
