George, IMO - Lower interest rates in the U.S. is only to give a boost to the world economies, not necessarily to benefit ours. The U.S should never try to be the lone savior of the world. Greenspan needs commitment of other economies to help themselves, not depend on U.S to bail them out. Do we want to control the world economies? Is it possible that the world is heading for ONE world wide controlling market system? As fast as the U.S. is growing in technology, are we creating a larger gap with modernization while others are falling further behind?
