Yes shorting is different in that it requires much more dedication and analysis. <<for the more sophisticated>> Yes if you mean understanding SEC filings and such. <<quicker>> Yes if you mean the need to monitor most shorts daily. <<gambler>> Only if you also call going long a gamble. << Short is more "short term." Right?>> It depends on the short. TNSI which was used in Lamar's example has a good possibility for going up more for various reasons, but read their last 10Q and wonder where the money they are spending is coming from, and how much it will add to revenue. Others like ALTIF, a Wexler fav could take many months for pump and dump. Some like MRII have been riding a death-spiral down through convertible debentures and reverse splits for quite some time.
