Ernie, Thank you for your post-quite refreshing and unexpected...but shorting is a strategy, one I use when investing in IPO's which is really a different arena. And You're alsolutely right, longs are committing to the stock tthe company and the employees. Shorts are not. But in every publically traded company you'll find the shorts and the longs, and frankly never so much as since forums like this one came about. So have a great weekend.
