The reason high-level politicians must avoid affairs is not because affairs are immoral but because high-level politicians involved in affairs can be easily blackmailed. What if Lewinski had kept perfectly mum about her affair and then played rough, escalating her price for silence?

The complete conversation and the observations by both participants would be more helpful. Clinton indicating to Monika that he may not be with Hillary after he left office is plausible. He is trying to keep Monika in his camp IMO. I then ask the question why is he leading her on? The question at hand is did Clinton lie under oath? Perhaps you see no need for the details but why would you want to deny them to someone else? The question at hand is were there any sex acts and what was the nature of the sex acts and who did what to whom and do they fit the definition in the Paula Jones case? Bill has challenged the American people on this issue. He has said that he absolutely did not have sex with Monika as defined in the Paula Jones case. Bill has set the stage for the discussion. He believes IMO that the American people will not want to discuss this issue as he has defined the discussion. This is orchestrated by Bill. He bears responsibility for the state of the nation and the consequences of his past actions and the consequences of his current denials. Zeuspaul
