Ian, I had 3 questions for you
1 in the =deflation event of the industrial revolution- what happened to economic events, ie, was there a worldwide recession; and what happened to stock markets, if you know?
2 What specific evidence of decreased overcapacity would you need to see to make you once again be a buyer of chip equips?
3 what reason could you see that a company as asyt-- is trading near cash when it appears, that alot of weaker players are not getting hit as hard?
4 just an aside---I dont remember this detailed a discussion last year when some of these stocks were high flyers-- this is not a criticism, perhaps I was asleep at the wheel ---I missed the warnings at the middle and the top ( I think at that time the only Asia i ever heard about was a porn star!!)---this is just to note that when better times return( if Im not at the soup kitchen-boy, no one will need a computer then), then perhaps
near the top of the next cycle; this thread will be just as active and knowledgeable!! -still doing my own homework--
