Dear sir:

I appreciate your sending this message to me via email, as it affords me the opportunity to publicly apologize to you.

I am sorry for having offended you. I certainly did not meant to do this, and I mean it. Forgive, and try not to think ill of me.

Nevertheless, the post itself was not meant to insult you, but rather the idea it presented. Consider that I thought of you as one of those rare beings who actually thinks for a change, and that my sending you my post was meant to spur a humourous revelry with you in the stupidity of our nation. It was meant as crass humor, and I should have been clearer with it. Perhaps I should have avoided it altogether. But in a sense, I believe my point essentially to be true. If you will reread my post, keeping in mind the above, you will perhaps see I had no intention of harming you.

Arguably I insulted the entire nation. In fact, I did not. I merely, as they say, "called a spade a spade", and anyone who would embrace the not even half-baked, but utterly raw infantile notion extant in your post, should consider that I have revealed to them the fact they have insulted themselves. We are a nation of Clintonoid Ewhorian nitwits, and not a nation of laws.

But I digress. My purpose was to apologize to you, and again, I apologize.
