To all,
I was going to give a very long-winded response to one of ahhaha's original posts, but I don't think it's worth the effort. I mean, we've been over and over this stuff. I will, however, respond to a few of the points he tried to raise:

1) "IATV is conducting an advertising chrade trying to create acceptance where no basis of acceptance exists"

Other than the fact that this company until recently has been loath to promote itself in any fashion, I don't understand the use of the word "charade". A charade is a guessing game. I believe the business plan that ACTV has is very straight forward.

I don't believe any informed individual can say that there is no basis for acceptance of the product. Ahhaha's argument assumes that multicasting has limited usefulness and appeal. He concludes that it could not possibly be commercially successful. I think the multicasting approach for sports is a proven winner right now. Apparently Liberty Media agrees. Game shows and advertising could be functionally added anytime in this format and be very successful right now, IMO. To say that two way interactivity for tv is required for commercial success is like saying that the internet can't be successful until we have full motion video and super fast loading of web pages. We had to have DOS before we got Windows. The ACTV product only gets better the farther along we go.

2) "All of this will take time if it certain to occur. Even then there will be hesitancy on the public's part before acceptance."

I've never heard of anyone who wasn't amazed and blown away by this product.

I have to leave the computer for a short time. I'll return to continue some of my thoughts about ahhaha's arguments, such as they are.
