There is a co. by the name of Cubic that is in the smart card business among others. They are a leader in smart cards as they are used to pay fares/tolls. Over the last few months they have been signing contracts and reporting what appears to be very good news. They reported last quarters financials and they looked very good.
One would say that the co. has a lot going for it and the stock should be flourishing. Investors lost faith in Cubic about eight months ago. The co. has turned the corner and I feel that the last report showed it to be so.

The stock is down approx. 40%. General market conditions don't appear to be a meaningful part of the decline. It appears that the market is going to punish the company until the market feels that CUB's time has come. In the meantime it seems that the co. isn't in control of their own destiny.

For the record, I do have a position in the company.

Racom appears to be a co. in which investors have lost faith. Until the market feels that RCOM's time has come, I don't think that there is much that they can do. However, in order to have any hope for the future, they must continue to move along and cultivate the smart card market and patiently wait for that time to come.

For the record, I do have a position in the company.
