Throwing away the baby with the bath water?
These used to be strong companies with excellent prospects for growth. Were they overly punished?

WND
bought Black & Decker's household products group. Estimated EPS this year $1.48 and $2.02 next year. Company grew 200% last quarter and 275% 2 quarters ago. WND traded at 30 in August 19 and now trading at 21.

RCOT
beat estimates every quarter. Traded at 34 in August 19, and now 29.
500% increase in earnings last quarter and 272% 2 quarters ago. EPS estimated this year $1.88 and next year $2.45. This should be trading higher.

ADVP
traded at 24 August 19, went down to 17 By September 11. By September 18 it was back to 23.875. Now it P/E is even less than its growth rate.

ADVP 109% earnings growth last quarter and 122% 2 quarters ago. $1.07 earnings estimate this year and $1.42 next year.

VTS...
grew in past 7 quarters an average of 200% now trades at 1.5 time sales of $497 million over the past 12 months. PEG of .25. P/E 6.4. Price is 294.5% less than its PEG value. There is still a high demand for VTS' 3-D seismic maps of seabeds.. to help oil drillers tap into the ocean floor. Finds oil down deep in Gulf of Mexico.

EVI..
a merger of drill-pipe make EVI and Weatherford Enterra. It rents drilling tools and manufactures artificial lift and compression equipment. These last 2 may not move just yet, but they are very cheap. Any rally in the sector, these will move.

CDIS..
Oil Diver..went from 12 on September 4th to trade at 17 on September 18.
Earnings out On October 6. From $0.27 cents to an estimated $0.57.

CBTSY..
stock price down from 55 to 31 in two days. This was an earnings play last 2 quarters and both time blew away estimates. Because of warned it may have trouble closing key Europen contracts by the end of the Sept. quarters. But CBT still apparently still thinks it can hit the Street's estimate for the quarter - 23 cents.

REXI
Earnings came out on August 5, 1998.. On July 27 REXI climbed on earnings anticipation from 32 to reach 36.625 on July 31. By 9/15/98 it was trading at 8 because of 'negative rumors' ..

APOL
went from 33 to 38 in two weeks after earnings report in June. It's EPS rank and Relative Strength was 96.

Apollo Group is America"s largest private institute of higher education. It boasts a total enrollment of more than 66,000 degree-seeking students. The schools pay taxes rather than accepting public
subsidies. And all its divisions are recognized by the Department of Education.

These companies are still risky as investments and might never return to old highs, but as potential trades they could be very profitable.
