By the way,

Its "Kapuskasing". Great place to get away from all the "rat race" issues. I wouldn't bet on Corel getting NetWinder mainstream and making cash on it. If it does make cash, it won't be much. This isn't a kick at Corel, it's just that they are software vendor, not hardware. Even if they produce the best product on the market, its never guaranteed to win. Hardware sales are high-volume, low-margin commodities (other than the old Mac).

Several companies have been able to change their product focus, from old stable dinosaur-type products to new leading edge products. COGNOS has, more than successfully, migrated from their POWERHOUSE 4GL product to the BI (Business Intelligence) tools, Impromptu and PowerPlay. They were able to keep the "cash cow" Powerhouse tool making money while funding other "up-and-coming" products. It will be interesting if the WordPerfect/Draw cash cow can span the development of a new "saviour" product for Corel. Currently, only jBridge seems like a good candidate (or at least potential one).

BTW, what are you hunting for, moose or grouse?

Ciao!
