Mark,

Both companies are located in California as well...another similarity.

I am not sure of the profit margins they expect on IP Telephony minutes. I assume it differs from country to country.

As for revenue projections... This was written 2 days ago by the CEO.

"The motivation is the reward of capturing a bit of the trillion dollar telecom market which experts expect to consist of 12%
Packet switched calls within the next 18 months. In the year 2000 that bit, for us, could be $1,000,000,000 (One Billion) in revenue."

And you can read the CEO's entire message posted Sept 18th.

So, if I read that right, 120 billion dollars in Internet Telephony as a whole (out of a trillion dollar long distance market that exists).

Frank Peters thinks he can deliver maybe less than 1 percent of that 120 billion dollars to FTEL shareholders.

I think the Internet Telephony market is so large..it is hard for any CEO forecast to sound remotely credible or reasonable.

But it is there just waiting to be taken.

Also, I don't know if the following dates me at all... but if you ever were a Sesame Street fan ... this is sort of funny, strange but warning: it may shock you.
